Opt-Out

If you want to cancel advertising that you get due to cookies, you can apply our technology and refuse from behavioral advertisements sent through Internet. Being the active Internet user you can protect yourself from various sites involved in media or advertisement business who are trying to track your visits. In general any monitoring by any party with use of cookies can be stopped with help of iMedia Traffic. We can offer even more! You can change your private settings on mobile phone or any device with Android and Apple IOS. You can be sure that within opt-out process all the information about your behavior in Internet including places you have visited before which are collected into your Internet browser will be deleted. All that you are expected to do is to choose a correspondent “opt-out” option. As far as you know the cookie can be kept only on a particular device, where the browser is used. If you are going to opt out on other browsers, computers or mobile devices, it is needed to apply the same option again. Please, pay your attention on the fact that the opt-out cookie will be deleted with all cookies on your computer or mobile device. So it is expected that you do the same actions again. What does happen when a user opts out? The program will never identify him using the correspondent individual identifier which is usually stored in the special cookie and gather any information about his online activities including looking through different advertisement and the web sites. The user will never get the personalized ads, which are selected in correspondence with his preferences and recently demonstrated interests. From now iMedia Traffic has stopped providing other targeting systems with tools for doing the actions described above or collection of the private information in order to offer the appropriate advertisement. In order to opt-out advertisement tracking and refuse from any targeted data received on your mobile devices including iPhones or Android, a user is recommended to get consultation as to correct device settings in accordance with the device manufacturer’s instructions. We can offer just examples which cannot be used without consultation and published for informational purposes only. Thus we do not guarantee that following the mentioned scheme you will manage to opt-out advertising on your mobile device.

Apple IOS Example

In order to refuse from the advertisement, which is sent directly to location, you should open “Settings” and “Privacy,” then you should activate “Location Services” and further on “System Services”, and here you’ll see the Location-Based iAds which should be switched to “off”. In order to refuse from the targeted advertisement, you should open “Settings”, and then find “Privacy”, “Advertising”, here you’ll find Limit Ad Tracking which should be switched to “on”. If you want to reboot Advertising Identifier within operational system iOS, you should open “Settings” in your device, then turn to “Privacy”, “Advertising”, and here you will find the option “Reset Advertising Identifier”, which should be activated.

Android Example

Here everything is much simpler. You should open the Google Settings app, find the option Ads and Reset advertising ID, here you are expected to choose “Opt out of interest-based ads”.

Once again we inform you that all the above actions should be repeated if you use another device or browser. You can choose the necessary settings here.
